Business must help mitigate Coronavirus with their employees and communities to protect them and to “Flatten the Curve”. It is a pandemic now. It can’t be eliminated. But what we can do is reduce its impact by minimizing exposure to it.

Executives must communicate on a regular basis on local news, expected risks and how to best minimize them. Sick leave and working from home policies need to be established. Communications must correct disinformation and link to resources.

Instead of a handshake, a kiss or a hug, a friendly wave or elbow bump is less likely to expose you to respiratory viruses…”

The pandemic presents an opportunity for a dramatic shift in perspective and the adoption of safe and resilient operating processes and innovation. Businesses that focus on a return to “near-normal” may be investing time, effort and money in a battle lost.
